genre discussion blog

Hello, my name is pascal bazile and in will currently be discussing about how I was able to choose what kind of genre that my movie would be it was very hard, but I was able to pick one. I was trying my best to chose one that would be very easy for me to do wanted to do it in the least amount of time and with the least of effort as physically possible. I also had to struggle with not showing my families face and even then, I do not exactly know whether my family is even going to help me in this project so I might need to get help from some friends. Because of that I wanted to make this movie t look like a kind of self-discovery story where the main protagonist learns something about their life and wants to improve it by becoming more determined. I wanted to film myself waking up sloppily from bead while doing things that I do every day with a voiceover telling the audience as to how everyday or the protagonist was always the same. I thought it would be good because in my eyes self-discovery movies are rare as well as how they might not be that good to most of the movie going population today who like very flashy movies. I think that my teachers would like it because how rare and unique they might find it to be and with that uniqueness people in the world would probably enjoy these types of self-improvement movies a lot more. Then I realized that I can’t show my house in the video because my family does not want to show anything about me, I do have a way to go past this thanks to the genre that I finally picked. I also thought that in the end doing a voiceover might be very silly and would seam to be very lazy as well as how uninteresting the entire thing might be if I don’t add the voiceover so in the end I left the entire thing out and restarted my genre. So, I had to chose a new thing for me to be able to do the entire genre project in a way that would make my entire movie pitch good interesting and In a way where I could be lazy but in a way where I can still get credit for it. I thought of making like an experimental movie like how many of them are very strange and focus on very specific things, but I said no because I had no idea of what I should do in the entire 2-minute beginning so I redid it again. Because of how many restrictions that I have in this entire project I now realize that the best thing that I can chose to do would be somewhere in when I can’t show anyone’s faces other than mine. I could have chosen a movie in where I am showing no ones faces with like masks to make it seem like a mysterious type of film where its genre could be a thriller film and could have the beginning scene set that up. But in the end the best thing that I could have picked to do my movie is most definitely going to be best for me and my goal of only showing my face and no one else’s. I picked a famous genre that is known for the emotion that the films can give you as well as how the quality of said movies differs from movie to movie based on whether they are a sequel or not horror movies. Horror movies do the best things that I need to do they have the best suspense, most interesting premises and the beat thing of all they do not show the killers faces in the beginning of the movies so that’s a plus. I will need to go through some hurdles to get my mom and sister to help me but in the end the thing I gain would be worth the effort that would be a good grade in a relatively easy manor. I could just go buy dark objects for my mom and sister to wear and then have enough things for my sister and my mom to look like killers so they can be the antagonist.  Then I will just film me just having a normal day while the killers are watching me and are always behind me in a very Michel Myers type way with them always being with me, I think this would most definitely be the best thing that I could do.
