Genre research: (SAW 5)

In my mind there is only one horror movie series that I will almost always love no matter how awful the entire series might be an that entire serious is known as the saw series. The entire saws serious originally started out as good but became worse thanks to sequels a giant element of horror movies that are mostly awful, and the saw movies are no exception. The movie in the serious that I am going to be focused on is the movie with a lot of political themes that was discussing what I believe to be the healthcare crisis the ever so brutal saw 5. Saw 5 is filled with many horror movie elements that I enjoy suspense, a good dark atmosphere, and a great antagonist whose entire backstory is very confusing and convoluted but still great. They do have some bad elements those being some very bad writing thanks to how some of the movie do not have a lot of time to be written well as well as the fact that the sequels are awful.  In my horror movie pitch, I used the fact that in saw 5 the protagonist as well as in the rest of the saw movies where kidnaped by someone in dark cloths I decided to make my protagonist also be kidnapped by a figure like that. Making a dark figure be the one that kidnaps someone could bring a lot of suspense like where are they taking him? Will he live? What will happen to him? I want my movie to bring some questions in the audience’s heads. This movie has the elements that I want in my own while mine might not have a good antagonist  I want to at least make the antagonist be dark foreboding and unknowing in when the victim will get caught I want the suspense that the horror genre is known for and I hope I do that well. Saw one was great with it being a very small movie that did very well thanks to the misty that it had while it itself was a movie written in a fine way but then it had to have some sequels .Then the movies got much more convoluted and stupid thanks to the writing getting worse and worse until its less of a horror movie then it is just nothing more than a gorefest filled drama series. The best antagonist of the movie john Kramer died in the third movie, and they continued the films in a way where more characters came in making the entire thing a lot more complicated. Saw five is a bad sequel with bad writing and a bad antagonist those three elements being the elements that I hate the most in most horror movies, but saw does it in a way that I find to be so infuriating.  But thing about saw as the series is that it exemplifies the elements that most horror movies have in a very fantastic way those being the over the top fantastic gratuitous kills and saw 5 is full of them.  The only reason why I saw the entire thing is because of the kills and this movie gives a lot of with most of them being very good at making sense for the characters being killed.  In the movie there was this one trap that I believe is the best trap in the entire show that one trap is the one known as the shotgun carousel the best trap in all the movies . This trap is the epidemy of what I love about horror movies in a movie that I hate a lot because of how the trap ties into the movies plot and as to why the movie is happening while also being dark and very enjoyable the entire thing is fantastic. Another this is that none of the characters are stupid they may be written bad but even then, none of them are going to die because of their incompetence well except for one of them. The rest of the movies production is good as well the lighting is good as well as the camera work everything in the movie is well fine most of the movies looks is good and the ending was good. The only problem is well the story I never really cared about any of the characters I never cried when any of them died I just felt some aww because of how good the deaths where. That’s the saw movies in a nutshell as well as saw 5 its enjoyable even if it’s awful the plot is not special at all and in the end the movie is your standard horror movie so in the end just watch it if you are bored it’s a ok watch. It may seam that I am talking about all the saw movies more then saw 5 but in the end they are all so similar that I fell like there is not much of a difference except for in quality and kills.
