My Pitch

Hello my name is pascal bazile and this is my second blog of my last project this one should be discussing the movie pitches that i am trying to commit to and to explain them while saying what pitch that i am going to try to do. Thanks to the fact that i do not have a partner that means i will not need to deal with anyone else’s opinions or suggestions on what i should do for my pitch even if making a pitch is still hard especially considering as to how i will need to suffer thanks to how unhelpful my family is. But that is another matter that i might be able to ignore or convince them to help me but in the end at least i could potentially make sure i can complete this if I am able to make a pitch that does not show my families faces or a lot of my own house. So, I decided to do my best to make a premise that does not show my families faces and does something that makes the audience interested and intrigued showing off the premise in an interesting way and I decided on horror. I wanted to go the horror route because I was afraid about the requirement for the video to gain the audiences interests and for that I think horror is a route that should be taken because of how easy it is to gain others attention with it. I will need to make it dark and a little mysterious like when there is a dark figure in the background something that I want to try in the pith that I chose its basically very easy and beside my teachers never asked me to be original at all so I choose my less original first pitch. My first pitch was that I would be waking up in my bed with something felling off with me having fake blood on my shirt to gain the watchers attention them going to me microwaving some food with a shot showing the kitchen sink with blood and knives. It will gain a lot of the watcher’s attention it is also very simple and easy to do it will just cause is some money to buy some fake blood and then I would let the natural home environment clashing with the blood and knives to do the work. A swell as the fact that the main person that the audience watching the film is viewing this entire thing as normal without any problems or any strange differences the audience might be able to conclude that something bad happened. Then to continue the scene we see him in a table doing his work with different cuts doing two things one of those things is hum working and in two cuts he goes from working to having his head down in what could be interpreted as boredom and or fatigue. And then the most important part of the scene is While the other thing it is doing is zooming out showing none other then a dead body that has blood all over the floor with a fake knife sticking out of the body. Then after that in a one take, I will stand up move past the body on the floor un an uninterested fashion while watching tv in where another body is on the couth jut sitting there with me not caring that was my plan. Problem is that these bodies would need to be my sister and mom, and both are very hard to work with as both do not want to be seen at all as well as to how I cannot show much of my house in my video as well. So, thanks to that I needed to do another horror themed pitch so I chose to do one that is mostly outside that will not show my sisters face so I thought of a slasher like thing in where I am being followed by a shadowy figure. I wake up from my bed where in the background there is a shadowy figure the I get up and go out to eat some breakfast in where the shadowy figure is in the background just standing there to look very menacing for a great effect. I go to the kitchen microwave some food and then ear it outside in the kitchen while the masked person is still in the background watching me continuing the whole mysterious figure thing in the best way that someone with a low budget like me can. And then after that entire sequence it shows that I go outside in where it is shown that I am being watched by him with it filming me in front and him in the back making the whole slasher theme more apparent for people who did not get it. And then at the end of the entire sequence the day ends I wake up go outside my room while I will get captured by the shadowy figure while struggling and then the door closes going into the title card giving the audience a sense of mystery and intrigue. Yea I know I know its not that original or good or as good as my first one that is at least unique and could be interesting for most regular people but really with everything that is going against me do I really have a choice. My mom and sister are very reluctant to help as well as how I will need to show my house in a way where I can not show to much or much at all thanks to how they love to not actually help me in almost anything I try to do. Sorry for that little personal rant but in the end, I chose me second pith it may be lazier and less original, but it must be done I cannot do anything else and even then, I am not even sure if they will even help with filming or helping me. But don’t be surprised if anything I said in my second pith changes because of how uncooperative my family could be so please wish me luck thank you for reading my blog I wish you well for the rest of your days.
