title research (horror) final destination

The final destination movies are movies that are filled with a lot of deaths gore and foreshadowing with the foreshadowing being put inside the title sequences that I learned when I searched this movie on artofthetitle.com.

1.     What titles are displayed during the opening sequences?

It displays the names of couple of books and some objects that foreshadow some of the kills that would soon to happen in the movie showcasing the way that the movie will be structured moving on. A book called death of a salesmen shows up being important in how the book ends in an automobile induced accident that kills someone just like one of the deaths in the movie. There is also a book of the French revolution opening to show a more specific foreshadowing to a death scene within the franchise of someone getting their head cut off. They show the name of the people who work in the movie as well as the movies tittle just like any other movie would crediting everyone who worked in producing the final product. It shows a hanging keychain that foreshadows the main characters friend getting killed from getting hanged in many subtle ways of foreshadowing that many people miss.

2.     What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?

A book in the title sequence opens to focus on a phrase said by someone being “this is the end” that person who said the phrase died in Paris and the last death of the movie the victim dies in pairs as well.  There were also the fans that was being focused on probably to make a very scarier atmosphere or it might just be that it was foreshadowing for the man who got his head cut off. It focuses on the main characters Alex’s passport mainly on him going to France or being French in a way where it might be important to the film and is because he is visiting France.

3.     What connotations do these images carry?

The connotation of the guillotine in the French revolution poster gives us a felling that some sort of decapitation will happen in the movie witch it did happen. And then there was the book the death of a salesman known for well he salesmen’s death and with the way he dies being a car crash spoiling the readers of the book one of the movies deaths.

4.     How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset?

It starts off with the names of the people working on the movie with a dark background starting of the movie with a good attention-grabbing score made by the composer. The music goes very well with the scene it is not very boisterous calmer it did well to see the scene of the movie like the music of the Halloween title sequence. It makes the dark atmosphere easily apparent because of the visuals a swell as music it also goes well into the lighting storm that happens after the people credits. It then goes around the room with dark lighting looking around the area filled with foreshadowing of the deaths that would happen in the future focusing on the most importation parts. It focuses on a shot of our main character giving the audience enough information on him as well as to when we see his passport be covered in darkness, we learn that his fate is sealed

5.     What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience?

The great music created by the composer can easily attract fans of the horror genre with how the music does well as to be able to sell the horror aspect. While it does not seam good visually by people who do not investigate the visual aspect of the title sequence the people who would want to look in deeper would have things that they could be able to point out. All the future deaths can be found out by people who would have a much deeper understanding of the film being a little treat to fans of the movie or more of fans of horror movies to be able to notice.

6.     How has technology been used effectively? You want to consider camera angles, transitions and editing techniques

The technology was used in a regularly simple way not exactly revolutionary because it usually spent its time just going over different things and objects to be able to show everything that needs to be shown.
