filming and editing blog: trying to get a mask for my killer

 

Hello reader my name is pascal bazile and this will be my first blog for the last quarter of the 10th grade this will be the blog where I will explain some things about my progress. I’m trying my best to get everything ready to be able to get everything done I’m going to need to get ready to get the costumes that I will need for my film, so I asked my family for help. Me and my family went out to buy some things for us to do the project we went out to try to buy some gear the main one being a mask for my sister to wear when my sister is trying to stalk me. Originally, I wanted to make my sister wear a different type of mask then I drew her wearing in my original storyboard to be more original. I really want to not try to copy anything because I think that in the end it might be detrimental to my grades thanks to the grader thinking that I might be plagiarizing another film. Honestly its difficult mainly because of how I’m trying my best to not cause trouble I want to get a grade because of how important this is so with that logic I want to not be accused of copying anyone. I wanted to draw inspiration from other horror movies like all the Friday the 13th movies and all the Halloween movies I also wanted to try nightmare on elms street, but I could not. These horror movies are classics some of the best of the best and with that notion choosing them would be great for me as a type of inspiration so I wanted to do the best ii can to recreate their effects. I decided to try to get a mask for them I wanted the mask to be white so I could directly reference both Jason and Michel Myers, but I decided against it. The reason I decided to not implement it was because of how in my storyboard I wanted to make the victim of my movie look outside to see the killer to confirm their suspicion of some shadowy figure following him. That would not work with a white mask mainly because of how the sun might reflect onto the mask and if that happens, I think that it might cause a problem with viewing the figure. I could just do the entire scene at a much later date, but the problem is that the killer will be wearing dark cloths so having them where dark cloths when the night is coming would cause a very bad effect. So, I scraped the white mask for fear of a lower grade and environmental issues and changed it so my killer to wear a black ski mask with eye holes it would work well with my sisters’ dark skin. We went to some stores to try to find a ski mask it was troublesome because we did not know anywhere that we could go to find a shop that could sell them. With that sad notion I was kind of conflicted I thought that it would just be better if I just get a white mask, I could just get it from a horror store or a store in where I could just get my sisters face painted. We went home and I decided to try my best to come up with new ideas I went through the painting idea and thought that it would be great for us but there would be consequences.  The fact that we would need to get my sisters face painted will cost money and might be hard to get off so I ended up scraping the idea no matter how good it might have looked. So today we went out again to buy another one, but we had no luck thanks to me being stuck at home because of school and my mom going to the doctor for a checkup. So I’m now here writing to you that I’m stuck and also very tired of traveling around everywhere. I have no idea what to do but trust me when I say that I will do my best to find one that I could use and that could be useful.   Hello, my name is pascal bazile I am currently in my last week to complete my assignment, so I decided to hurry up with my filming as well as my editing and I think that I have done well enough to get a lot done. I was able to do things that will get me a lot of progress I only need to film some more scenes and then I will need to edit in some music during some scenes to be done. I started by filming the scenes that where the least important the one in where I would film the food that I made after microwaving it and a scene in where my killer holds his knife waiting to strike.  hello there my name is pascal bazile and i have now finished my entire beginning film scene while i had a lot of problems making the film and a lot of problems editing the film i was still able to get it done thanks to help from my sister and her friends who came in from Haiti two days ago to help us film if my sister could not. Filming was awful because of how many times my computer either was not working or because of the amount of scenes that i needed to replace or redo because some actors mainly my sister where not able to be there at that time meaning that i had to replace all of her scenes. I sadly went over the time limit for the film with me thinking it would be three munities instead of two minutes so i improvised and halved it to make the entire thing shorter i still think that the scene would be comprehensible if you put the pieces together.   Hello there, my name is pascal bazile and I will be telling you the story of what I have been doing during the time that I was not discussing my project to you the current reader. This blog will show that I made a lot of progress during the past few days and right now I will do my best to share that progress with you at this current moment so here is what I did. So, to start in my old blog it discussed the idea that I was not able to get a good mask for my sister when me and my family went shopping around so I ended the entire blog at that moment.
